Tahoe locals Colleen Conners-Pace and Joe Pace will continue to offer their Tahoe Altitude Triathlon Training Day. In the past this training day focused on prepping you for Ironman Lake Tahoe but….. since it is not going to happen again here at Tahoe we decided to continue with this Training Day as it can be used for training for any other event or just for enjoying a low key race simulated STRESS FREE Training Day. All you need to do is to basically show up with your wetsuit, bike and running shoes. We will take care of the rest. The idea behind this camp is for the athlete to practice a race simulation without participating in an actual race. Check out your fitness, nutrition, clothing, gear. The focus is to rehearse your race day strategy, by practicing it in a simulated race fashion. Or just enjoy swimming, biking and running with support.
The day which will consist of a swim clinic/swim with Boost Swimming
The swim clinic will take place at the original IMLT swim venue. This is a great opportunity to get a few tips from Jeff Pearson, an excellent swim coach, on swimming in cold water, shallow water and this will give you an opportunity to swim in a pack simulating a race scenerio.
There will be a sag on the bike with one bike aid other than the sag which will be a roving aid as well and then a T2 from bike to run at Squaw Valley with one aid on the run. Aid will be Heed and Hammer gels. We will have light snacks at “T2” and Finish. The training day is only for half the distance of a full, if you are interested in riding the full 112 you will be on your own for the second loop. We will also provide a shuttle from the Finish (Squaw) back to Kings Beach (Swim venue).

Here is the preliminary schedule of what the Training Day would look like
7:30 T1 Introduction, briefing and set up@ Kings Beach State Park, swim venue for IMLT
8:00-9:30 Boost swim clinic
9:30 – 2:00 Bike ~60 mile ride with sag and one aid
1:00- 4:00 Run ~ 13-14 miles with one aid at turn around
4:00 shuttle back to Kings Beach Swim Venue
